Whatever the answer is, you would be too late. The property value is already ruined.

If anyone can point to a specific project in our city that really and truly has lowered property values of the homes surrounding it, I’d like to see the proof. I’m not saying it hasn’t happened, I’d just like to see the cause and effect in the DCAD/MLS numbers.

Apparently a mixed-use development that gets rid of an eyesore of a parking lot and mid-rise brown office building is the answer.

House worth less than 1.5 million.

I just would hate to be associated with those people. Classism is the new thing. (please know I’m joking)

Stripclub, presidential library, bank, parking lot…

(And I love In-N-Out Burger – can’t wait for it to open!)

Yeah, but you don’t want it on your street, do you?
I lived in California for a few years and prefer FatBurger to INO.

C’mon, nobody’s said “HPMC Church Parking lot” yet? You’re slipping, people, it must be summer.

a faux chateau or villa dwelling mixing elements of some deluded builder’s ideas of France and Tuscany and what “classy” people might like – oops that already happened and I’m still here.

Ha funny I almost said In-N-Out but I prefer when you Texans have to go to California to get it. Having in and out here will just make the Republic of Texas again think to highly of itself. (yea so I should point out I’ve lived in Texas now for 4 years so I am one of you)

A group home for recovering addicts – that IS happening in other parts of DFW so don’t think they can’t just plop one down in a residential area. Often the residents don’t know it’s happening until construction begins. And often a private party buys an existing house and turns it into a group home of some type.
