Spieth Set For Title Defense

Jesuit’s Jordan Spieth will seek to win back-to-back United States Junior Amateur Championship titles this week in Ada, Mich.

Spieth, 16, competed in his first two PGA Tour events earlier this year. He became the story of the HD Byron Nelson in May by finishing tied for 16th place. Two weeks later, Spieth missed the cut at the St. Jude Classic.

However, he also won the Byron Nelson Junior tournament for the third straight year last month.

Soon-to-be Highland Park freshman Scottie Scheffler will also be competing in the tournament this week. Scheffler finished tied for second at the Nelson Junior.
