In-n-Out Burger Arrives. Soon. Sort of.

This has been a long time coming. First you heard about the one in Garland that was supposed to open. Then Fort Worth. Then you had a fever dream where one opened in your basement.

But now it’s actually coming. In-n-Out Burger has signed a lease with Dallas-based Rosebriar Corp. to open Texas’ first In-n-Out Burger at Caruth Haven Lane and Central Expressway, according to Rosebriar CEO Bill Hanks.

“We felt very fortunate to be in discussions with one of the most sought after fast-food establishments in the country and to close the first deal in Texas was great,” Hanks said in a statement.

The Irvine, Cali.-based company is known for “using only the freshest products, including serving never-frozen beef. ” In other words, delicious burger bombs of joy.

DBJ originally reported the news of In-n-Out’s arrival.

No timeline has been set for opening the restaurant, but it should arrive in 2011, according to In-n-Out spokesman Keith Tang. Whether that means January 1, 2011, or December 31, 2011 is anyone’s guess. Tang said “because of permits” the company doesn’t know the exact opening date until a few weeks before the launch.

Everyone’s going to love In-Out, however it will get old in due time just like everything else. It is very good. The fries are made fresh from real potatoes and they pay their employee’s a good salary ($12 to start in Ca.). Just remember to order a Double Double, Fries, and the best chocolate shake around. Welcome to Texas!

Same thing they said in Garland, same thing they said in FW. Pretty sure the property owners confirmed leases in those places as well….Oh, by the way, I just leased my house to In-N-Out too, but do to permit issues they could open sometime between two seconds ago and 2020. Believe it when you see the sign go up.

I have never had one and can’t believe I will finally get the chance to visit one right around the corner. My butt will sit in its own, separate chair when we go.

@really, it is indeed in the Steak & Shake spot. This is what I’ve hoped for since before the Steak & Shake sign went up! We lived in California for several years and we really do miss the In n Out! Steak & Shake had terrible service, they didn’t engage with the community at all and they were overpriced. WOOHOO for the In n Out! The concept is keep it fresh and keep it simple. They service burgers – hamburger, cheeseburger, double – fresh cut fries – shakes & soda’s. period. It’s a thing of beauty.

Yes, plus they’re putting an IHOP next door. Didn’t think there was as much of a market for IHOP blog posts, though.

The kids really like IHOP, they go to the one at Mockingbird and Abrams. I don’t see room there for an In N Out and an IHOP, though. Unless Taca Cabana is going away?

IHOP will gather all the overflow drunks from the other location. In N Out will gather my husband who works next door….
