Edwards, Princeton Going Dancing

Former Highland Park standout Daniel Edwards is now playing basketball for Princeton, which secured a spot in the NCAA tournament by beating Harvard, 63-62, in the Ivy League championship game on Saturday.

The Tigers (25-6) will take on Kentucky (25-8) at approximately 1:45 p.m. Thursday in Tampa, Fla. Princeton is a No. 13 seed, while Kentucky is a No. 4 seed.

Edwards, a 6-8 freshman forward, has played in six games this season.

Tigers played a tremendous game; it truly came down to the wire. With so many seniors graduating for Princeton, Harvard’s youth may help the Crimson for the next couple of years but we look forward to freshman Edwards to anchor a great Princeton team in 2014. What a neat experience for Daniel this spring. Go tigers!
