Congrats to Hillcrest’s UIL Team
English and economics teacher Amanda Ashmead (who is pretty decorated herself) led a team of academic all-stars from Hillcrest to UIL greatness at the District 12A tournament March 25 and 26. Valerie Morgan took home first place honors in editorial writing, feature writing, and headline writing. A People Newspapers employee in the making, perhaps?
