Stafford, Lions Shine on Monday Night Football

Playing at home on Monday Night Football for the first time in 10 years, the Detroit Lions, led by former Scot Matthew Stafford, rolled past division rival Chicago, 24-13, to improve to 5-0 on the season.

The start is the best for the Lions since 1956. Stafford was 19-of-26 for 219 yards with two touchdowns and a pick.

I’m just glad Detroit’s baseball team did not have similar results in Arlington last night. What a tremendous game that was. Nellie Cruz was big time. Again.

The Lions take on San Francisco at home this week.
