Sissy’s Southern Kitchen is shooting to stick to your ribs at lunchtime.

The southern comfort eatery unveiled a new lunch menu — complete with a multitude of sandwiches, salads, and smaller signature dishes — to cater to the inner southerner in all of us who wants something midday that’s filling but on the lighter side.

The new menu includes sandwiches like the layered New Orleans-style muffaletta and, of course, a chicken fried steak sandwich that touts a flat-iron steak, crispy onions, and a toasty bun that becomes best friends for its side of cream gravy.

While their signature fried chicken is still available by the bucket, leaning towards a nice crab cake salad or poached snapper nicoise sounds a little more doable for the average, daily lunch.

But, as owner Lisa Garza said, that hasn’t stopped anyone from ordering buckets for lunch.

Sissy’s lunch starts from today on between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
