Although jesting at whose dad can eat more doughnuts isn’t a typical taunt on an elementary school playground, a few University Park Elementary students sure did have the right idea.

Early Wednesday morning, 11 father-son teams had four minutes to engulf a box doughnuts from Mustang Donuts in the inaugural Dirty Dozen Donut Eating Contest.

While few could complete the task during the Dads’ Club’s 89th annual Father Son Breakfast, all the paternal duos received a donut trophy and sticky fingers for the rest of the day.

Pick up this week’s Park Cities People to find out more about good-hearted gluttony and how it brings dads and sons closer together.
