Bonnie Case Accepts Library Honor

This morning at the Highland Park Town Council meeting, HP librarian Bonnie Case accepted the 2012 Achievement of Excellence in Libraries award. The accolade is given out by the Texas Municipal Library Directors Association. According to Mayor Joel Williams, only 30 of the 561 libraries in Texas received this honor.

“Superstar Bonnie, thank you very much,” Williams said.

Winners are chosen based on factors like quality of services and programs put on by the library. Case attributed the work of the council and the city manager’s office as part of the department’s success.

“This is truly a group effort,” Case said.
