Local Composer to Showcase New Works
Preston Hollow resident Xi Wang, a composer and associate music professor at SMU, will perform her latest piece, “Tibet Fantasia,” for the first time during a concert at 3 p.m. Saturday at Dallas City Performance Hall.
She also will perform “Echo. Poem. Image,” another contemporary classical work commissioned by Voices of Change. Both pieces will incorporate dramatic lighting with a display of dancers and image projection similar to the Beijing Opera.
The show will include a pre-concert forum. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased here.
