Mosquito Spraying in HP
This weekend (April 17-19) the Town of Highland Park will be ground spraying for mosquitoes from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Although no mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile Virus, the spraying will reduce their growing population.
Highland Park advises residents to remain indoors and protect pets when sprayers are in the area. Any outdoor pet dishes should be cleaned after spraying.
Residents should also be attentive to any areas of standing water in their area, including pet dishes, flower pot basins, and bird baths. Town personnel are available for free home inspections for potential mosquito breeding grounds. Call 214.521.4161 to schedule an inspection.
