Highland Park’s Stephen Dieb will compete in the state wrestling tournament this weekend for the fourth and final time. He won a Class 4A state title in 2014.

Stephen Dieb will make his fourth consecutive appearance at the UIL state wrestling tournament this weekend in suburban Houston after finishing second in the 145-pound weight class at the Class 6A Region II tournament earlier this month.

Dieb fell in the regional championship match to Allen’s Juwan Robinson, who won a state title last year as a freshman. Dieb is a former state champion in Class 4A.

Dieb (31-3) will face Matthew Tracy of Corpus Christi King in the first round. Tracy (34-7) is the third-place qualifier from Region III.

Also at the regional meet, HP’s Ben Kroencke (120 pounds) and Junior Dorbah (195) finished fifth in their respective weight classes. Both traveled to the state meet as alternates.
