Teen Whisperer Josh Skipp to Speak at Dallas CASA Award Dinner

Josh Shipp, a former at-risk foster youth and now a recognized teen expert and youth advocate, will be the speaker at this year’s Dallas CASA award dinner.

Shipp is best known for his TEDx talk entitled “Every Kid is One Caring Adult Away from Being a Success Story, and his television programs including Teen Trouble, which aired on Lifetime and A&E.

Dallas CASA will honor The Meadows Foundation with the prestigious Judge Barefoot Sanders Champion of Children award at the Champion of Children dinner Nov. 15 at The Fairmont Dallas.

The award is given annually to recognize community leaders who significantly improve the lives of children in the community, particularly those whose young lives have been marked by abuse, neglect, or other adversity.

Honorary chairs for the evening will be Jan and Trevor Rees0Jones, well known in the community for their commitment to children in foster care.

Co-chairs of the Champion of Children dinner are Regina Montoya and Paul Coggins; Bela and Chase Cooley; and Jan Miller and Jeff Rich.

Dallas CASA board member and CEO of the Dallas Mavericks Cynt Marshall will emcee the event.
